Joe Wilkins is the author of two novels, The Entire Sky and Fall Back Down When I Die; a memoir, The Mountain and the Fathers; and five collections of poetry, including Pastoral, 1994 and When We Were Birds. His latest book is Every Sky at Home: Essays on Landscape and Family. Born and raised north of the Bull Mountains of eastern Montana, he lives with his family in the foothills of the Coast Range of Oregon.  

Hannah Dela Cruz Abrams received the Whiting Writers’ Award for her novella, The Man Who Danced with Dolls, and her memoir-in-progress, The Following Sea. She has been further supported by a Rona Jaffe Foundation Writers’ Award, a North Carolina Arts Council Fellowship, the Robert F. Hartsook Fellowship, and the Robert H. Byington Fellowship. Her work has appeared in Orion, the Oxford American, StoryQuarterly, the Southern Humanities Review, The Pinch, the Raleigh Review, MAYDAY Magazine, Carolina Quarterly, and elsewhere. Originally from the Mariana Islands, Abrams now lives and teaches on the southeastern coast of North Carolina. 

Steve Edwards is author of Rare Good: Essays on Art, Autism, and Astonishment (forthcoming, fall 2026) and the memoir Breaking Into the Backcountry, the story of his half-year as the solitary caretaker of a wilderness homestead along the Rogue River in Oregon. His essays appear in The Yale Review, The Sun, Orion, The Rumpus, Lit Hub, Longreads, & elsewhere. He lives in metrowest Boston and teaches writing at Fitchburg State University.
